Kohn & Son of New York, 53mm, heavy 18K gold American made HC by Jeannot & Shiebler, initials to front and 1893 monogram date to rear, gold cuvette engraved "August 26-1893," SW-LS, lever escapement, gold jewel settings, 16J, fausses-côtes pattern nickel damascene, s#10348. Comes with a paper insert for Theodore A. Kohn & Son with signed watchmaker's name and date of service. Gross weight of assembled watch 90.8 dwt (141.2 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, some haze to plate tone, one scuff and a short scratch near center to main plate toward pendant, chattered scratch to main plate near beginning of "Theodore"; virtually flawless dial with a negligible infinitesimally small flake at seconds-register center; nearly mint hands, speck of oxide near minute tip; case shows very little wear, no dents or dings, excellent engraving detail; tight bow, crown shows light wear; clean plastic crystal.
